Trip design
I send through a lightly planned itinerary aiming to capture the bulk of you needs. However, we will leave space for spontaneous adventure and adjustments based on the weather situation and other fun distractions.

Enjoy the trip
I am available as your host for the duration of your stay. We will make the most of Japanese powder snow and day trips to many incredible places in the Myoko area.

Ski + Explore
Skiing in Japan is incredible but there is so much more to explore and experience beyond the snow. My trips are designed to discover more local attractions based on your personal interests and preferences.

It's just you, and me
I take one booking per stay with a maximum 4 guests per booking. This leads to a more customized, attentive, and comfortable experience. This is for both the homestay and the day trips!

Day Trips Galore
Unlike any other business, all my day trips are included! I will not be selling or charging additional costs for "add-on" experiences. I have endless suggestions for you to enjoy the Myoko region to the fullest!

I know Japan extremely well and I'm always on the hunt for new experiences. If you're looking for something more unique and outside of trends, you'll want to stay with me.

"It was awesome - the highlight of our trip to Japan. First the basics - Matt's place is so beautifully done - super warm in winter and heaps of space for each bedroom with the second small room next to the bedroom and a big living room. Cosy sheets, great breakfast with lots of different options (great to have cereal for the first time in Japan), sparkling clean. He had a giant van to take us around in and there was plenty of space for everyone to have their own space.
What made the trip special was Matt and his knowledge, enthusiasm and generosity in spending so much time showing us around - to ski resorts and local highlights. It was incredible to stay with a local and learn so much about the area and how things worked and see go to so many different resorts and have a guide on the mountain. He really went above and beyond in his showing us all the different resorts and some of the local sights of which there are so many - in a week we barely had time to scratch the surface.
Spending time with Matt was super fun and he showed us restaurants we would never have found, some off the main tourist trail sites and the mainstream ones that we wanted to see. Whatever you wanted to do was no trouble at all and he had an unlimited amount of suggestions and was more than happy to tailor outings for your interests".
